Roofing Students win trip to Spain with CUPA!

We attended the recent awards presentation at Leeds College of Building  whereby 2 apprentice roof slater and tiler students would be selected for their all-expenses paid trip to Spain. Roofing students William Emerton & Liam Stewart were nominated for their excellent attendance, timekeeping, attitude, standard of work and willingness to help others. Cupa Pizarras and Burton Roofing will be taking the roofing stars to visit La Medua slate quarry this July. It will be an opportunity for the competition winners to see first-hand how the largest slate producer in the world operates. The college has a growing national reputation in the construction sector and explained how much the industry support and sponsorship means to the new campus. The industry is short of skilled tradespeople so there is a real opportunity for youngsters, the college has had several successes at the NEC SkillBuild and welcome any enquiries from interested parties who wish to develop their skills.
