Westmorland slates for Penrhyn at Flaxton Lodge.

Westmorland slates for Penrhyn at Flaxton Lodge.

The Lodge is an imposing country residence on the Main Street of the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Flaxton. The roofing contractor is the well-established Alan Shaw and team from Grimston Bar. Diminishing Westmorland Slates were removed from the property and the whole roof replaced with new welsh penrhyn county heather blue natural slates

The original yorkstone ridge tiles would be refitted with three foot long artstone buff ridges. Mercury’s vap r free breather felt was specified to assist with any condensation issues alongside 5U eave protection strips. A specialist local plumber was preparing bespoke lead detailing for the significant chimney stacks.

This refurbishment will see ‘ The Lodge ‘ watertight for many decades to come and shall look fantastic too. Please contact your local Burton Roofing Depot for any new or reclaimed roofing material requirements.
