The Britmet Slate 2000 is a lightweight alternative to both natural and artificial slates, the broken-bond metal roof system offers all the aesthetics of traditional slating with the added benefit of a lightweight roof, a mere 7kg per m ² laid.
This innovative design can be fixed on roof pitches as low as 12 ° and can be installed on vertical elements. The Britmet Slate 2000 is made from high grade 0.45mm Aluzinc steel which has been coated with a durable and tough acrylic finish, granulated with stone and then overglazed sealing in a lasting depth of colour. Britmet offer a 40-year guarantee against weather damage, ensuring that even in the harshest of conditions the Britmet Slate 2000 is made to last.
The Britmet Slate 2000 system requires 2.17 slates per m ² compared to an average 20 natural slates per m ², as such they remain easy to handle and simple to install. With a host of matching ancillary items such as barge ends, apron flashings, ridges and vent tiles etc. you can be confident of a uniform and stylish finish.
