Eco Barn wins award

Burton Roofing have supplied a whopping 32 Velux windows to the holiday let ' Elm Tree Barn ' at Fimber, East Yorkshire. Architect MJ Design included many VELUX features including a sloping & vertical combinations and a hot water solar facility. Thermafleece sheep's wool was used to insulate the Barn & locally manufactured Sandtoft County Pantiles were used to tile the roof. It was paramount to use local sustainable products which has helped obtain the ECO barn status to win the Gold Award from Visit Britain. The property was featured in Kevin McCloud's Grand Design Magazine to promote the importance of utilising natural light.
