This Depot has evolved to become our largest seller of roofing materials. Sat in amongst the depth of such a densely populated region the fleet of 6 delivery trucks are kept constantly busy with the despatch of customers roof tiles and slates.
The established team pride themselves with an average of 14 years’ service with Burton Roofing Merchants Ltd. They feel their knowledge, understanding of the area and of its customers’ requirements mean they have known their client base for a significant length of time. A real pride is taken in maintaining their customer’s needs.
Mark Burton is the Branch Manager – Mark has worked his way up within the company as he first started 17 years ago as a HGV Driver. He feels his grass roots knowledge of the business has held him in good stead. ‘ Being involved within both transport & sales has given me a really deep understanding of the operation.
We have some great tools in place nowadays to provide an unrivalled service. Customers have supported us well as we have grown. We listened to their roofing requirements & our software system now automatically suggests purchase ordering so we carry the best stocking profile in the region. We want people to see us as a ‘one stop shop’ as they visit our Roofing Superstore’.
Besides our core range of Roof tiles and slates, felts, membranes, VELUX roof windows, lead etc. we are gaining a growing reputation for supplying insulation, sheeting and cladding, green roofs, rubber and GRP roof systems, guttering and fascia’s. It’s very rare we can’t source a customer’s roofing requirements however unusual or bespoke it is.
With such a strong sporting heritage, the area boasts teams like Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Leeds Rhinos (rugby league) and Yorkshire Carnegie (rugby union) all playing at Headingley Stadium, and Leeds United A.F.C. playing near our Leeds Depot at Elland Road you can only imagine the banter between them all! The staff like to display their sports posters and stickers whilst enjoying some camaraderie within the day.
